GetDandy, the AI Review Remover; (but is it cool?)

Look, we can’t lie- we haven’t used GetDandy. We don’t get near enough reviews to make that sort of expense worthwhile. But for those of you who might be interested, we’re still gonna give you our thoughts on the whole prospect.

What is GetDandy?

It’s a service that will handle your business's reviews, particularly the negative ones.

Let’s say you have a restaurant and you’ve been dinged by what you think are bogus bad reviews. But you’re a simple mom and pop shop, you don’t have time to sift through reviews, reach out to the reviewers, report reviews you think are fraudulent. You’re in the kitchen, you’re sweeping the floors, you’re cleaning the john!

That’s where GetDandy sees an opportunity.

Using AI, they aim to report negative reviews, generate ChatGPT owner responses to reviews, and generally take care of the bad stuff, trying to get you the good stuff. Trying to increase your star power, all that.

Here’s my beef. They’re clearly using AI to generate their own copy, and it’s NOT THAT GOOD!

Also, are we supposed to call the business Dandy or GetDandy? That it’s even a question is a bit worrying.

PLUS, the insistence on removing negative reviews to ensure the “integrity” of the review space. But not the fake positive reviews? Those skew star ratings too. Those alter customer perception too. Those are just as worthy of removal as fake negative reviews.

Hey, are we just being haters without fully vetting our opinions? Maybe. But we’ve done a bit more work than punching some junk into a prompt and letting an AI write for us. Suck eggs, slackers!

Slackers? Still here? Okayyy. Here’s their website: https://getdandy.com/
