Humble Pies and Hate Cakes: Negative Reviews on the Menu at Ricochet

Call it making lemonade from lemons, call it keeping your enemies close, call it divine inspiration or anything thou wilt.

Or maybe call it “just desserts.”

When The Ricochet in Derry, New Hampshire, was served up some negative reviews, they served them straight back to diners who were a touch less sour, selling what they call the “hate cake,” a slice of chocolate cake with a negative review literally clothespinned to it. Think of it like a fortune cookie for those full of whimsy and pizza.

Hopefully it’s as pleasant as an after dinner mint.
